Airday 2014

Following a superb Airday last year SACAD 2014 will take some beating, but fear not - we have already got some excellent displays lined up.

In addition to the varieds flying display we are hoping for some historical static aircraft exhibits too. And leading on from last year we expect to see the WWII encampment on the green once again.

SACAD13 - What a great success

What a day we had! On the 60th Anniversary of the airfield's opening we were delighted not only with the fine lineup of aircraft but some fine exhibitions on 'the green'. Star of the show must have been Sally B which, despite a short sharp shower (emphasis on 'sharp') held away from the clouds until they cleared and completed an evocative display. Thank you to all the aircraft, their pilots and support team, and to all the stallholders which helped to make this a memorable event and raise £10,000 for charity.

Seething Airfield Charity Airday

Sunday 7th September 2014
Gates Open 10am

Seething Airfield

Seething Airfield is a privately owned airfield in Norfolk situated south east of Norwich and just a few miles from the east coast.

Now home to a thriving flying club, the airfield was constructed as a base for Liberator bombers for the USAF 448th Bomb Group. You can still catch tantalising glimpses of those days on the airfield today.

CONTROL TOWER MUSEUM: The former RAF Seething's rich history is captured in the iconic control tower of the airbase which is now home to a fine museum charting the life and work of those who worked there during the War years. The Control Tower is open the first Sunday of each month from May to October inclusive.
